Google searches for "buy Cardano" hit a three-month high

Data from Google Trends, which analyzes the popularity of search queries in Google Search, shows that interest in the search query "buy Cardano" reached a three-month high.
The popularity of "buy Cardano" started rising on May 26 and peaked on August 22. In addition, the study showed that Lebanon is the country most interested in the third largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization. It is followed by Qatar and Slovenia.

Singapore, Lithuania, Canada, Israel, the U.S., New Zealand and Norway round out the top 10 countries using this search query.
Interestingly, Cardano has had a year-to-date return of 1,324%, more than bitcoin and etherium.
Because of the recent price hike, Cardano (ADA) is now the third largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, pushing Binance (BNB) native token out of that position. The latest price increase is due to news about the future update of Alonzo, which will move smart contracts to blockchain in September.
In terms of market capitalization, Cardano has become one of the top 100 crypto players in the last seven days, but the cryptocurrency has experienced a significant collapse after reaching record highs in price.

Cardano has a market capitalization of $82 billion at a current price of $2.56. According to CoinMarketCap, the crypto-asset has fallen 7.53% in the past 24 hours.
